Student builds incredible 6 degrees-of-freedom motion platform

As a semester-end project, Tyler Kroymann and Robert Dee, two Mechanical Engineering seniors at San Jose State University, built a 6DoF motion simulator. The 6DoF, or degrees-of-freedom, Stewart platform they're using is a proof-of-concept prototype which uses two axes as output from a PID controller. The controller uses a resistive touch panel mounted on the platform as the input.
